Financial Advisory

Support for organisations under financial pressure, and for those negotiating with lenders and stakeholders from a difficult position.

Our approach

Early, candid, and quiet.

Options narrow quickly under financial pressure. The value of advice falls sharply the longer a conversation is postponed.

  • A clear-eyed assessment

An honest view of the position, set out early — including the options you would rather not have to consider.

  • Credible with lenders

Forecasts and proposals prepared to a standard that withstands scrutiny from banks, investors and creditors.

  • Discretion throughout

Sensitive situations handled quietly. We are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement before substantive discussions begin.

How we can help

Where we are typically engaged.

  • Turnaround and restructuring planning

Establishing what is causing the deterioration, what can realistically be recovered, and the sequence of actions required to do it.

  • Cash flow forecasting

Short-term forecasting that shows where the pressure points fall, so decisions can be taken against evidence rather than instinct.

  • Debt restructuring support

Preparing the analysis and proposals that underpin a renegotiation of existing facilities, and supporting you through the discussions.

  • Stakeholder negotiation support

Helping you prepare for and conduct difficult conversations with lenders, creditors, investors and other parties with an interest.

  • Options appraisal

Setting out the routes available to the board, what each requires and what each is likely to mean for the parties involved.

  • Contingency planning

Preparing for the outcomes you are working to avoid, so that the business is not making decisions at short notice under pressure.

Why Tanda

Straight answers, early enough to matter.

Directors rarely seek advice on financial difficulty as early as they should, and the reasons are understandable. By the time the conversation happens, the range of available options has usually narrowed considerably.

We would rather have that conversation sooner, and we do not charge for the first one. If the position is recoverable we will say what it takes. If it is not, we will say that too, plainly, rather than selling a programme of work that delays an unavoidable decision.

Scope of our role. We provide advisory and analytical support. We are not licensed insolvency practitioners and we do not provide FCA-regulated investment advice. Where a matter requires either — or requires legal advice — we will tell you, and we work alongside the appropriate regulated specialist rather than around them.
